Beautiful morning with Anna and Amaris

Anna and Amaris have beautiful souls and kind hearts. When I asked them to collaborate with me on photos at a historic house, they joined in enthusiastically. Both are professional dancers, trained in expressing emotion through movement… so as we walked through the rooms, I asked them to try to feel the atmosphere, to imagine what might have happened there, and interpret what they felt.

Technical minutiae: I made these photos with a Mamiya 645 1000S medium-format camera and an 80mm f/1.9 lens on Kodak Portra 800 film in 120 size. Processed and scanned by the FIND Lab.
